Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this does: This is a safety instruction for owners and operators of specific Fletcher agricultural aircraft (the FU24-950 model).

What you must do: Install a restrictor (a small valve that limits fluid flow) on the oil pressure gauge line. This prevents the engine from losing all its oil if the gauge line breaks or comes loose.

Who it affects: Anyone operating Airparts (NZ) Ltd. FU24-950 aeroplanes.

Deadline: You must complete this modification within 200 hours of flight time after 31 July 1979 (note: this is a historical directive from 1979).

Why it matters: Without this restrictor, a failed oil line could drain the engine's oil supply, causing catastrophic engine failure during flight.
