Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This is a mandatory aviation safety order (an Airworthiness Directive) issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Fuji FA-200 aeroplanes with serial numbers 12 through 52.

What it requires: You must modify the screws on the nose landing gear piston stop plate—the component that helps the front wheel absorb impact during landing. The directive references technical instructions from the manufacturer (Fuji Service Bulletin No. FAS-060) that detail exactly how to perform the work.

Deadline: The modification must be completed within 100 hours of flight time after 28 April 1972.

Why it matters: To prevent potential failures of the nose landing gear and ensure safe aircraft operation.
