Plain English Summary

Requires a one-time inspection and functional check of Pacific Scientific Model 0108900 series flight crew shoulder harness assemblies, carried out in accordance with Fokker Services SB F50-25-051. It applies to all aircraft fitted with those harnesses; operators must complete the inspection before 23 September 2000 and therefore bear the direct cost and scheduling burden. CASA issued the AD after an overseas report that a harness pulled out of its inertia reel due to an incorrectly attached reel mechanism.
