Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of certain Fokker F50 (F27 Mk 50) aeroplanes (S/N 20103–20172 not compliant with Fokker SB F50‑27‑016 Part 2) to increase or verify in‑wing aileron cable tension and, by a later date, replace specified aileron control cables with improved parts. It aims to stop cable turnbuckles rubbing against lightening‑hole edges. Aircraft owners/operators and maintenance organisations must carry out and pay for the inspections, tension adjustments and part replacements in accordance with the referenced Fokker service bulletins within the stated timeframes.
