This directive mandates that operators of certain Fokker F50 (F27 Mk 50) aeroplanes carry out the maintenance actions in Fokker Service Bulletin F50-26-003 by 26 February 1989, after advice that faulty bonding can leave fire-sensing elements undetected. It turns manufacturer guidance into a compulsory requirement for the listed aircraft, imposing direct compliance costs and scheduling obligations on owners/operators.
