2/10 complexity

The directive requires owners/operators of specified Fokker F50 (F27 Mk 50) aeroplanes (S/No. 20103–20108 and 20110–20145) to carry out the inspection and any repair/modification set out in Fokker Service Bulletin F50-57-004 Rev.1 by 31 May 1989. It responds to deformation of the outer wing end rib access panel that can increase ice buildup and cause heavy aileron operation in icing conditions; compliance costs and downtime fall to the affected operators.
