AD/F406/13 - Landing Gear

This directive requires operators of Reims Aviation F406 aeroplanes to incorporate Service Bulletin F406-56 (or a later DGAC‑approved revision) to inspect and, if necessary, replace nose and main landing‑gear locking devices. Compliance is mandatory within 100 flight hours or 45 days from the AD’s effective date.

The measure responds to a nose‑gear collapse traced to non‑conforming locking devices. Operators pay for and schedule the inspection/repairs; the directive compels corrective action to reduce the risk of gear collapse and resultant damage.
