Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This AD requires operators of Fokker F27 (Mks 100–700) to check their Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM) includes Fokker Manual Change Notification Operational (MNCO) F27-005 (14 Feb 1998) and, if it does not, to insert that MNCO by 18 October 2000. CASA issued the directive under subregulation 39.1(1) to address incidents where power levers were inadvertently placed into the Beta (ground) range in flight.

Operators bear the cost and administrative task of updating and documenting AFMs; CASA sets the compliance timing and the procedural requirement.
