Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This AD requires a one-time inspection and functional check of Pacific Scientific Model 0108900 series flight crew shoulder harnesses per Fokker Services’ SB F27/25-65. It applies to aircraft fitted with that assembly and must be completed by 23 September 2000.

CASA issued the AD under CAR 1998 s39.1(1); aircraft operators and maintenance organisations must carry out and pay for the inspection. The AD followed a report that a harness pulled completely out of its inertia reel because the reel mechanism was incorrectly attached.
