This amendment requires owners/operators of certain Fokker F27 aeroplanes (specific serial numbers listed in the Requirement Document) to carry out ageing‑aircraft modifications set out by the country‑of‑origin airworthiness authority. Mechanically, it mandates following the technical instructions in RLD AD 91‑058/5 and associated Fokker service documentation; operators pay for and perform the work. The stated purpose is to provide terminating action instead of repeated inspections to maintain structural integrity.
