What it does
This instrument is an airworthiness directive (AD) directed at Dassault Aviation Falcon 2000 and Falcon 2000EX aeroplanes. Mechanically, it requires three discrete actions on the trailing edge flap rotating rods and associated retaining brackets: (1) verify correct assembly of the rotating rods and retaining brackets installed in the left-hand and right-hand wing root compartments and in the left-hand and/or right-hand main landing gear compartments, following the instructions in the Dassault Aviation Service Bulletins specified in Table 1; (2) if any rotating rod is found damaged, replace that rod in accordance with the relevant Dassault Aviation Service Bulletin specified in Table 1; and (3) label the rods and associated retaining brackets as instructed in the applicable Dassault Aviation Service Bulletin specified in Table 1. These three requirements are stated verbatim in the AD’s Requirements section.
The AD ties compliance to explicit deadlines. For the verification and labelling tasks the AD requires completion within 330 flight hours or within seven months from the effective date of the AD, whichever occurs first. For replacement of any damaged rod, the AD requires the replacement prior to further flight after the effective date. Those three specific compliance time points are listed consecutively in the Compliance section numbered 1, 2 and 3 and map to Requirements 1, 2 and 3 respectively.
The technical documents to be used are the Dassault Aviation Service Bulletins (SB) listed in Table 1: SB F2000‑326 (or later DGAC‑approved revision) for Falcon 2000 models, and SB F2000EX‑83 (or later DGAC‑approved revision) for Falcon 2000EX models. The AD explicitly notes that EASA AD 2006‑0115 dated 10 May 2006 is referred to in the Note. The AD becomes effective on 3 August 2006 and is signed by James Coyne, Delegate of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, 21 June 2006.
