Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive requires owners/operators of specific Fokker F100 (F28 Mk 100) aeroplanes to modify a wing rib‑to‑auxiliary‑spar attachment by replacing specified aluminium rivets with nickel‑copper rivets and hilok bolts per Fokker Service Bulletin F100‑57‑017. The work must be done by 18,000 flight cycles or within 50 cycles after 22 April 1999. It responds to fatigue‑test findings of broken rivets and aims to prevent similar failures.
