| Applicability: | Embraer ERJ-190( ) aircraft. |

| Requirement: | Replace the RAT deployment actuator having P/N 1703785 with a new one bearing P/N 1703785A, and re-identify the RAT actuators of serial numbers 191 thru 242.The detailed instructions and procedures to accomplish this AD are described in Embraer Service Bulletin No. 190-24-0003, original issue, or further revisions approved by the ANAC.Note: AGÊNCIA NACIONAL DE AVIAÇÃO CIVIL - BRAZIL AD 2006-05-09 dated 19 June 2006 refers. |

| Background: | It has been found cases where, during the deployment of the ram air turbine, it may not fully deploy, because of excessive galling between the piston rod and gland housing in the actuator. |
