This instrument cancels an Airworthiness Directive (AD) that was accidentally published with the wrong content.

What happened: Airworthiness Directive AD/ERJ-170/6 was supposed to set safety requirements for fuel quantity probe harnesses on Embraer ERJ-170 aircraft. Instead, it was published containing the text from a completely different directive (AD/ERJ-170/3).

Cancels the erroneous AD/ERJ-170/6 effective 7 June 2007
Removes the incorrect maintenance requirements that were mistakenly included
Allows the correct version to be republished later as AD/ERJ-170/8
