Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive requires owners and operators of Enstrom F-28 series helicopters to modify the aircraft's alternator (electrical generator) system.

What you need to do:

Ensure the electrical cables (wires) and their circuit protection devices (fuses or circuit breakers) are properly coordinated—meaning the protection matches the cable thickness and capacity
The modification must meet the technical standards specified in ANO Part 108 Section 108.32 (Aircraft Navigation Orders)

Who it affects:

All models of Enstrom F-28 helicopters
Must be completed before the aircraft can be issued with a Certificate of Airworthiness (the official document allowing it to fly legally)

Why it matters: This prevents electrical fires and system failures by ensuring wires cannot carry more electrical current than they are designed to handle. If a fault occurs, the circuit protection should trip before the cable overheats.
