Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This AD requires replacing the 33 g CO₂ cylinders in RFD Type 80 Mk.2 life jackets with approved 45 g cylinders (35 g charge) at their next reconditioning after 31 January 1973. It affects any operator of aircraft equipped with these life jackets and matters because the larger cylinder ensures full inflation and reliable buoyancy in a ditching.
