Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

The instrument requires owners/operators to modify Dunlop‑Beaufort Mk 28 lifejackets used with immersion suits as specified in Dunlop‑Beaufort Service Bulletin No. 131, completed by 19 May 1994, to increase nominal buoyancy for immersion‑suit compatibility. Costs, parts and work are the responsibility of the owner/operator; the rule is narrowly targeted so operators may instead avoid using affected Mk 28s with immersion suits.
