The directive requires replacement of the inflation cable and reidentification of specified Air Cruisers emergency evacuation slides per the manufacturer’s Service Bulletin for certain serial-numbered units installed on BAe‑146 series aircraft, to be completed by 2 July 1992.

Issued after a deployment failure traced to an incorrectly routed release cable, it makes owners/operators of affected slides responsible for arranging the work, following the Service Bulletin, and bearing the maintenance and scheduling costs to eliminate the risk of non‑deployment.
