Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This AD mandates modification and inspection of specified Aerazur life rafts fitted to Aerospatiale helicopters, following the French DGAC AD 91-166 and Aerazur SB 332.60.003 Rev 1. It affects owners/operators of rafts with the listed part/serial numbers (up to 198).

The work (rivet installation and vent-hole check) prevents premature top‑cover ejection; compliance costs and downtime fall to operators. Australian‑registered aircraft have until 31 December 1991 to comply (a two‑month extension to the French deadline).
