Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This AD mandates owners/operators of certain vintage Aircruiser life‑raft assemblies (specific part‑number series manufactured Jan 1971–13 Aug 1975) to inspect and modify those rafts in accordance with Aircruisers Service Bulletin SB 111‑74‑1 Rev 2, with work completed by 1 June 1979.

Compliance is mandatory for airworthiness; affected operators or their maintenance providers bear inspection/modification costs, downtime and administrative burden, or may opt to replace rafts if that is practicable.
