Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This directive requires operators, owners and maintenance organisations to inspect International Inflatables regulator P/N 70003 (inside and out) for corrosion, replace any corroded units with inspected corrosion-free spares or a Secretary‑approved alternative, and inspect spare regulators before installation. In‑service units get a first check before 1 Sept 1973 and thereafter every four months. It creates recurring inspection, replacement costs and potential downtime, plus a Secretary approval point for alternatives.
