AD/EMERAUDE/1 - Anti Spin Strakes - Installation - CANCELLED

This document cancels an obsolete aircraft safety rule that required anti-spin strakes to be fitted to Piel Emeraude series aeroplanes.

What the old rule did: The original directive (issued before 1963) required owners to install 'anti-spin strakes' — small aerodynamic fins that improve spin recovery — on these light aircraft. This followed flight tests that revealed dangerous spinning characteristics.

Why it's cancelled: The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) has cancelled this directive because all affected aircraft were modified to comply decades ago. The requirement is now redundant.

What this means: Owners of Piel Emeraude aircraft no longer need to refer to this specific directive. The strakes should already be installed on any aircraft that needed them. No further action is required under this instrument.
