Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of specified Embraer EMB-120 serial numbers to inspect for the correct installation of check valve P/N CKRC1875005A in the landing-gear wheel-well door closure line and, if it is missing or fitted incorrectly, to install it following Embraer Service Bulletin 120-32-0077 Revision 3, within 100 flight hours. CASA amended the original AD to ensure valves were not omitted or misinstalled; the valve is intended to prevent landing-gear-door lock-up during emergency gear extension after loss of the green hydraulic system.
