Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive requires operators of Embraer EMB‑110 aeroplanes (serials 110001–110467) to carry out the corrective action in Embraer Service Bulletin SB 110‑027‑0084 Revision 1 before 2 November 1989. It addresses chafing between the flap control switch potentiometer screws and resistor R273 that can cause inadvertent flap extension.

Operators must implement the service bulletin at their own cost; the Civil Aviation Safety Authority mandates compliance and has issued two amendments to update part numbers and the required service document.
