Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

The directive requires Embraer EMB‑110 operators to replace spring pins that attach trim‑tab actuators with solid pins per Embraer SB110‑027‑0083, within 500 hours time‑in‑service after 3 December 1987. Operators bear parts, labour and downtime costs. The change removes a reported pin‑fracture failure mode that could allow control‑surface flutter, improving safety.
