Requirement: Remove the shunt from connector 38 Delta b in accordance with Eurocopter Alert Service Bulletin 24.00.09 dated 18 March 2002.
Note: DGAC AD 2002-187-090(A) refers.
Compliance: Within 100 hours time in service after the effective date of this Directive.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 13 June 2002.
Background: The French Direction Générale de l’Aviation Civile has advised that helicopters using the basic 150 Amp electrical power generating system may be fitted with a cable loom designed for the optional 200 Amp system. This wiring anomaly may induce an overload of the electrical power generating system and can result in disconnection of the generator.
This directive requires the correction of the wiring error at connector 38 Delta b.
