The directive mandates a specific modification to the emergency locator transmitter (ELT) Jolliet antenna on certain Eurocopter AS350 (B/BA/B1/B2/D) helicopters to improve vibration resistance and reduce risk of in‑flight antenna loss. Affected owners/operators (and their maintenance providers) must comply per Eurocopter SB instructions by the earlier of 400 flight hours from 17 Sept 1992 or 1 Apr 1993; operators pay costs.
