Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This directive requires mandatory inspections of Eurocopter AS350 tail rotor blades (specific P/Ns listed in the text) per Service Bulletin No. 05-11 Revision 5 to detect root cracking that can cause severe vibration and loss of control. Operators must log inspections in the Maintenance Release and carry copies of the Directive and Service Bulletin onboard. Pilots may perform daily visual checks as allowed by the bulletin, but full compliance requires a licensed aircraft maintenance engineer.
