Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This document officially cancels a previous aviation safety rule about Eurocopter EC 225 helicopters.

What it does

Cancels Airworthiness Directive AD/EC 225/11, which previously set requirements for the Main Gear Box Epicyclic Reduction Gear Module on these helicopters
The cancellation took effect on 24 April 2009

Why it matters

This is administrative housekeeping: the old safety requirements have been replaced by a newer rule (AD/EC 225/12 Amendment 1)
Helicopter operators no longer need to follow the old directive because the updated version applies instead
Prevents confusion by formally removing outdated requirements from the books

Who it affects

Operators and maintainers of Eurocopter EC 225 series helicopters
The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) itself, for record-keeping purposes
