Plain English Summary

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of Eurocopter EC120B helicopters (serial numbers 1001–1029) to inspect the torque-tube bolted attachment and, if the tube has a single locking, to secure and modify the attachment in accordance with Eurocopter Alert Service Bulletin 67A003 to address a potential unsafe condition. Compliance deadlines are given in flight-hour and inspection intervals; operators bear inspection and modification costs and must adjust maintenance scheduling to meet the mandated intervals.
