Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of Dornier 328-100 aeroplanes fitted with specific B/E Aerospace Pax seats (part numbers 2524.519-( ) and 2524.520-( )) to inspect passenger seat frame attach caps in accordance with Dornier Service Bulletin SB-328-25-412. Inspections must be done within 100 flight hours after 19 January 2006 and then every 8,000 flight hours or at each 2C‑Check.

The measure responds to manufacturer reports of cap failures. Aircraft operators must carry out and pay for the inspections; the regulator (CASA delegate) fixes timing and enforces compliance, and practical implementation depends on the technical steps in the referenced service bulletin.
