| Applicability: | Model 328-100 aeroplanes with serial numbers 3005 to 3119 inclusive. |

| Requirement: | If not previously accomplished, replace the old Flight Data Recorder (FDR) impact G-Switch 3UC and the old Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) impact G-Switch5UB with new impact G-Switches part number 3LO-453/4.25 in accordance with Fairchild Dornier Service Bulletin SB-328-31-390 dated 06 September 2001. |

| Compliance: | No later than the next A-Check after the effective date of this Directive. |
| This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 19 January 2006. | |
| Background: | The German Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (LBA) has received advice from the aircraft manufacturer that the FDR and CVR impact G-Switches do not meet the design requirements of JAR/FAR § 25.1459 (a) 5. Incorrect operation of the G-Switches may cause the loss of FDR and/or CVR data following an aircraft accident. |
