Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of Dornier 328-100 aeroplanes fitted with ground spoiler actuator P/N 1059A0000-02 to replace the four gland attachment screws in accordance with Dornier Service Bulletin SB-328-27-289 (or later LBA-approved revision). Actuators modified to Amendment A are not affected. Compliance is required before the actuator reaches 3,300 flight hours, or within 330 flight hours if that threshold has already been exceeded. The stated aim is to prevent loose or broken screws that could cause hydraulic loss and disable flaps and ground spoilers.
