Applicability:	Dornier 328-100 aeroplanes Serial Numbers: 3005 up to 3098, 3100, 3101, 3103, 3104, 3106, 3107, 3109, 3110, 3112, 3113, 3115, 3117 and 3119 that have Engine Control Cable P/N 001A761A1130-016 with manufacturing Batch No. 1000125850 and 1000144210 installed.Engine Control Cables with different batch No’s are not affected.
Requirement:	Unless previously accomplished, replace the Engine Control Cables in accordance with Dornier 328 Service Bulletin No. SB-328-76-409 Revision 1 dated 17 May 2002 or later LBA approved revision.Note: LBA AD 2002-252 refers.
Compliance:	Not later than the next scheduled C-Check after the effective date of this AD.
	This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 19 January 2006.
Background:	The manufacturer of the control cable, after performing destructive tests on the cables, identified cracks on the end fittings of a batch of cables. Failure to replace the cables could result in failure of the end fitting and subsequent loss of control of the engine(s).
