Applicability:	Model 328-100 aeroplanes equipped with an Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) (Option 490-001A) and DC Power Control Unit part number (P/N) 230GC02Y02 or 230GC02Y03 installed.
Requirement:	If not previously accomplished, inspect and modify the APU bus bar installation in accordance with the Accomplishment Instructions of Dornier Service BulletinsSB-328-24-021, dated 25 November 1997.
	Note: LBA AD 97-354 refers.
Compliance:	Within 30 days after the effective date of this Directive.
	This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 19 January 2006.
Background:	This Directive requires the inspection of the epoxy glass mounting plate around the spacer holding the APU bus bar for signs of damage together with securing of the lower cover with a shim and checking the torque of the bus bar screw. These actions are necessary to prevent possible overheating and burning through of the bus bar plate.
