AD/DO-27/9 - Front Seat Restraint Installation - Modification - CANCELLED

This document officially cancels a 1972 aircraft safety rule that required front seat shoulder harnesses (upper torso restraints) to be installed in Dornier DO-27 series aeroplanes certified before 1967.

What this means:

• Original rule: Required safety upgrades to older aircraft to protect pilots and front passengers during crashes
• Current status: As of 17 January 2008, this specific rule no longer applies to Dornier DO-27 aircraft
• Replacement: The safety requirement now lives in a general airworthiness directive (AD/GENERAL/74 Amendment 1) that covers multiple aircraft types, rather than having separate rules for each aircraft model
