Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires all Dornier 228 operators to incorporate Chapter 05 inspections and life‑limits from the specified Dornier 228 Maintenance Manual into their approved maintenance programs. It applies to every Dornier 228 model and takes effect forthwith.

By legally embedding the manufacturer's mandatory inspection intervals and component retirement limits into Australian aviation law, the rule prevents failures from fatigue or wear and prohibits flight unless affected aircraft comply.
