Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This AD requires owners/operators of De Havilland Gipsy Queen 70 MK.2 piston engines to fit the safety modifications identified (asterisked) in Rolls‑Royce Technical News Sheet TNS GQ.70 No.15, Appendix A, when the engine undergoes its next major reconditioning completed after 30 June 1972.

It affects operators, maintainers and owners of vintage aircraft using this engine and matters because the modifications reduce the risk of mechanical failure after overhaul.
