Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this does: This rule requires specific safety upgrades to be installed on Gipsy Queen 11 aircraft engines whenever they undergo major overhauls (reconditioning) after 30 June 1972.

Who it affects: Aircraft maintenance organisations and owners operating planes with these specific engines (commonly used in older De Havilland aircraft).

Key requirement: Before putting a reconditioned engine back into service, mechanics must incorporate the modifications listed in two specific Rolls-Royce technical documents (TNS G No. 15 and Appendix 3). This ensures engines meet updated safety standards after significant maintenance work.
