Plain English Summary

Requires operators of Bombardier (de Havilland) DHC-8 models 102, 103 and 106 (serials 3–119) without Modification 8/0864 to visually inspect aileron tab actuator arm channels for cracks per Bombardier Service Bulletin 8‑57‑7 Rev F and to repair any cracked channel by installing a reinforcing angle and balance weight arm before further flight. CASA issued the directive after reports of cracked actuator arms; failure can increase roll control forces and may be mistaken for a flight control problem.
