Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This AD requires operators of Bombardier (de Havilland) DHC-8 Series 102–315 (serial numbers 003–580) to visually inspect SM‑300 aileron and elevator servo drive assemblies for serial numbers, remove and replace units whose last four digits are 4826–5935, and forbids installing units in that range. The directive implements a corrective action for an identified unsafe condition and directs operators to use specified replacement part numbers or earlier serial‑numbered units and the referenced Bombardier Alert Service Bulletin for compliance.
