Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This rule requires owners of certain Bombardier Dash 8 (DHC‑8) aeroplanes to remove hazardous black thermal insulation identified in Transport Canada Airworthiness Directive CF‑94‑25 by the deadline in that AD (22 June 1995), unless already done. It targets aircraft and retrofit kits missed by earlier directives, closing a loophole to eliminate potentially fire‑ or contamination‑hazardous insulation added after manufacture.
