AD/DHC-8/13 - Landing Gear Control System - CANCELLED

What this does: This officially cancels a previous aircraft safety rule (called an Airworthiness Directive or AD) that required owners to fix the nose gear position indicators on certain Bombardier DHC-8 aeroplanes.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Bombardier DHC-8 series aircraft. In practice, this affects no one today because the work required by the original 1990 rule was completed decades ago.

Why it matters: The original 1990 directive required a specific mechanical modification to prevent pilots from receiving false signals about whether the nose landing gear was properly deployed. Since every affected aircraft was modified by the August 1990 deadline, the safety rule is now obsolete. This document formally removes the redundant requirement from the books.
