Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires Bombardier (De Havilland) DHC‑8 aeroplanes, serial numbers 1–179, to be modified or inspected per Boeing Canada de Havilland Service Bulletin 8‑33‑17 (Revision B or later) so their emergency lighting complies with FAR 25.812. It affects aircraft operators and maintenance organisations, who must arrange and pay for the mandated work and schedule downtime; CASA enforces compliance. Amendment 1 corrects a typographical error in the SB reference and does not alter the required action or affected fleet.
