Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This AD requires operators of all DHC‑6 Twin Otter aircraft to perform fluorescent dye penetrant inspections of the horizontal stabiliser centre hinge bracket flange (part C6TPM1021) to detect cracks that could cause loss of pitch control.

Inspections start within 250 flight hours after 27 April 1995 and recur every 1,200 hours; inspections must continue even if the bracket is replaced. The directive aligns Australian Twin Otter safety with the referenced Canadian AD.
