Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This mandatory airworthiness directive requires owners/operators of De Havilland DHC‑3 (Otter) aircraft serial numbers 1–40 to immediately carry out the measures for the main undercarriage compression strut set out in De Havilland Canada TNS Otter No. 23 (the AD itself points to Canadian AD 54‑4).

It matters because compliance is required forthwith, may require inspections, repairs or grounding, and the direct costs and downtime fall on affected owners/operators and contracted maintenance organisations.
