Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This directive requires owners and operators of DHC‑2 Beaver aircraft to take immediate safety actions on passenger seats: unsafe or unidentifiable seats must be removed and floor/attachment fittings inspected for corrosion and correct locking/function.

It stems from a fatal accident involving unapproved, corroded seats; the rule ensures only approved seats and airworthy attachments remain installed to prevent seat failure and passenger deaths.
