Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

Owners/operators of De Havilland DHC‑1 Chipmunk aircraft fitted with Fairey‑Reed A66753/X1 propellers and spinner assemblies type 66870 Mark 2 or 3 must immediately remove the spinner nose/body (leaving the back plate) or comply with the alternative engineering option in ANO 104.1.14.0.1.2 Issue 2. This urgent action prevents potential in‑flight spinner failure that could damage the propeller or airframe and create a serious safety hazard.
