Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This mandatory Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of English-built De Havilland DHC-1 Chipmunk aircraft to immediately modify the engine mount pick-up points before further flight.

Compliance must follow the engineering instructions in De Havilland Technical Notes Sheet CT(C1) No. 63 or Airworthiness Notice No. 105.1.14.15.5.2. The change prevents possible engine separation and catastrophic failure.
