Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

What this requires: If you own or operate a DHA-3 Drover aircraft, you must have the flap inner link attachment brackets inspected at least once every 12 months. These are the metal fittings that connect the wing flaps (the moving parts that help slow the plane down for landing) to the main wing structure.

Who it affects: All owners and operators of DHA-3 Drover aeroplanes, except for the specific aircraft with serial number 5020.

Why it matters: These brackets can develop cracks or metal fatigue over time. If they break in flight, the flaps could fail partially or completely, making landing dangerous or impossible. The inspection follows technical guidelines set out in document DH TNS CT(A3) No. 115.

The bottom line: This is a mandatory safety check. If you don't get these brackets inspected every year, your aircraft is not legally airworthy and cannot fly.
